About

Hi, I’m Haley!

Between graduate degrees in literature and cultural studies, I began my career in copywriting and content strategy at marketing agencies—working on content refreshes, site redesigns, and large-scale demand gen campaigns for clients like Aetna and Adobe. Later, I joined a brand team at 1-800 Contacts where I created new brand voices from scratch, ran multiple nomenclature workshops with executive partners, collaborated with creative directors and UI experts, and wrote website copy, app flows, email campaigns, and marketing collateral.

In 2021, I completed my PhD in English from Purdue University, with an emphasis in modernist literature by women.

In 2023, I got an offer for a true dream job and joined the Sales Content team at Pinterest. Here, I bring messaging strategy, storytelling techniques, and a tireless dedication to high-quality sales content to our global team.

I believe the way a brand writes isn’t only a creative or aesthetic decision. It’s a strategic one. A strong, intentional voice sets memorable brands apart from those that look and sound like everybody else. As an expert storyteller and writer, I develop nuanced messaging strategies and bring them to life with intentional, meaningful copywriting that beautifully balances substance with style.

And, on a personal note: I keep my writing voice alive and my deep love of literature flowing on my Substack site, where I publish a new essay about critical thinking and close reading each Sunday. Join me there for literary conversation.
